Warehouse Associate

Merola Tile, the leading tile distributor in America in its 25th year in business is expanding our Somerset, NJ staff to meet our business needs.

We are currently seeking an experienced warehouse associated to join our team. This position will have the primary function to pick, pack and release orders and to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.

Hours for this warehouse position can vary within daytime business hours, 7:30 am - 7:30 pm part-time (to start) Monday - Friday.

Starting rate of pay for this entry-level position is $9.00/hour. Performance reviews are conducted after the first 90 days of employment and typically result in a compensation adjustment. Employees with outstanding performance are expected to earn $12.00/hour after their first year and often reach an hourly rate of $15-$17/hour after 5 years with the company.

This position will start as part-time and could potentially turn into full-time.

Requirements:

- Ability to push/pull/lift 70-100 lbs. several times a shift.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and twist without restrictions.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Frequently work in environment with extreme temperatures, our warehouse is not climate-controlled. This includes sometimes being exposed to the outdoor environment.
- Candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment criminal background check and a drug screening.
