INVITATION TO TRANSITUS of Saint Francis of Assisi
Peace and Goodness!
Please join the Secular Franciscans in observing the Transitus of Francis of Assisi on Saturday,
October 03, 2015; 6:00 — 7:00 p.m. in Saint Mary’s Church in Rahway, NJ.
The Transitus is a commemoration of Saint Francis' death. It is an old Franciscan devotion to remember the passing of Saint Francis from this life to eternal life. Every year on the 3rd of October, on the evening before the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4th), Christians in the whole world solemnly commemorate the transitus– the passing of our Seraphic father’s soul from earth to heaven, which took place at sunset on Saturday October 3rd, 1226.
Let's reach out to our friends, inviting them to be a guest and learn more about Franciscan Life.
